The short version:
Joa was due August 20th, 1998. At 12:30 a.m. on August 21st, Andey was awakened by her first contraction. Andey and Lisa and our dear friend Denise arrived at the Birthplace at Wellesley at 5:00 a.m. Chris, our midwife, was waiting for us. Joa was born under water in a birthing tub at 5:15 a.m. Our friend Kali arrived at about 9:00 a.m. We all went home around noon.
