We found out the day after the party that Joa's Morfar (Danish for "Mother's Father"), Lisa's Dad, was very ill. We left that night, but unfortunately he passed away while we were hanging in the air between Massachusetts and Oregon, May 22, 2000: the same day Mama was to graduate. We all miss him terribly.
